The Pizzeria (Or The Irony on a Day in My Single Life)

So there I was, sitting in a quaint pizzeria in Santa Rosa Beach, having the most ironic evening of my life. As the rain poured outside, the place brimming with adorable families, I sat there identifying with Elizabeth Gilbert in her solitary travels-- savoring a gooey calzone , reflecting on single life and the desire after age thirty to never bear children. Then, much to my chagrin, a large group of young twentysomethings took over this little world, riding high on their dopamine and underestimation of risk. And all I could do was pretend to laugh in silence before reminding myself once again to take it one day at a time.
